We are thrilled to announce that engineering student Eriberto Salgado has been selected to present his research at the 2025 TechConnect World Innovation Conference and Expo (https://www.techconnectworld.com/), one of the most significant gatherings of technology innovators, researchers, and industry leaders in the world. Held in Austin, Texas, this prestigious conference brings together breakthroughs from universities, national labs, startups, and Fortune 500 companies, all focused on accelerating the commercialization of emerging technologies. Eriberto’s poster, titled “Cost-Effective Distributed IoT Sensing Architecture Using LoRa P2P and LoRaWAN with Custom Gateways and Cloud Integration,” was accepted for presentation in recognition of its innovative approach to low-cost, scalable IoT systems. His participation highlights the caliber of work being done by our students and reflects our department’s commitment to real-world, impactful engineering education.
